Our 2025-2026 Curtis at All Hallows season continues with organist Jessie Zixi Deng performing on Saturday, February 21 at 7PM.
Jessie Zixi Deng is originally from Pingxiang, China. She moved to Shanghai at 17 to pursue professional music training, and in 2024 she relocated to the United States to further her artistic journey.
Her performance credits include the Organ Voice Organ Concert Series at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music Organ Art Center and the Afternoon Tea Concert Series at the Shanghai Concert Hall. Jessie has appeared at prominent venues such as the Oriental Art Center, Kulangsu Organ Art Center, and Princeton University Chapel. Upcoming engagements include recitals at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, Bryn Athyn Cathedral, and the 2026 Piccolo Spoleto Festival.
As a church musician, she has served as an organist in churches in Pennsylvania and Washington, and currently holds the position of organ scholar at St. Clement’s Church, Philadelphia, PA, where she works under Peter Richard Conte.
Jessie earned both her BA and MM degrees at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and is currently pursuing an MM in Organ Performance at the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studies with Alan Morrison. At Curtis, she holds the Gie and Lisa Liem organ fellowship.
